new territory

i miss that place behind my house where i hiked and climbed and played
where i'd ditched this noisy century or just hide out from the decade.

new brunswick

There's nothing I hate more than the dude who keeps the stereo cranked long after the party has died down. I fought back and forth with this kid for like an hour, turning the music down, then he'd turn it back up. I mean c'mon, it's late. People just want to chill out and have a conversation. The time for a dance party has come and gone. While we had this battle of wills, some crackhead was clipping the lock on his bike, a mere 10 feet away.

When he realized his bike was gone, he no longer seemed concerned about the volume. I kept it down. This time it wasn't because I wanted to talk to anybody. I was only interested in quietly sipping my beer while listening to the beautiful music of his helpless complaining.
